Because SIJD causes LLI=LLD, it causes trouble (Beattie et al, 1990):

Summary of Clinical Significance of LLD. (Leg Length Discrepancy)
(3mm) According to Subotnick, (1981) LLD of 3mm or greater can cause injury to runners.
(5mm) According to Friburg, (1983) LLD of 5mm or greater leads to biomechanical compensations in the spine.
(6mm) According to Brody, (1986) LLD of 6mm or greater can cause injury to runners.
(7mm) According to Corrigan and Maitland, (1983) LLD of less than 7mm rarely causes symptoms.
(9mm) According to Giles, (1981) LLD of 9mm or greater causes changes in the angle of lumbar facets.
(10mm) According to Cyriax, (1981) LLD of 10mm or greater contributes to the development of back pain.
(15mm) According to Gibson et al, (1983) LLD of 15mm or greater can cause compensatory scoliosis in the standing person.
(20mm) According to Vogel, (1984) LLD of greater than 20mm requires lower extemitiy compensation.
(22mm) According to Papaioannou et al, (1982) LLD of greater than 22mm causes significant scoliosis.
(40mm) According to Ingram, (1980) LLD of greater than 40mm often requires surgical correction.
